N.Kumar – 1964LE, IIT Delhi and subsequently owner of CORNET Engg. in Virginia, USA, twin brother of N Bharath, husband of V Chandra ( 72lb ), brother of N Arjun (1967 LE- arjunswathi@gmail.com) and b.i.l of V narahari (64LB – krukanani@rediffmail.com ), V Ramgopal (65LE – +91-9840186838), V Lakshminarayanan (67LB – vlmani56@yahoo.com) and V Vasudevan (69LE) – passed away in the US on 25th May 2021. He is survived by his wife Chandra and only son Sriram. May his soul rest in peace.

Mr. S Srinivasan, Son of Shri. M.Sivaramakrishnan, Retd. Principal DTEA, passed away on 26 April 2021. He was a student of DTEA, Mandir Marg, and passed out in 1974. He was a practising Chartered Account and a Partner at M/s. Rajan Chakravarthy & Associates, New Delhi. He is survived by his father, wife, daughter, and son.

 Talk on Congenital Heart Disease by Dr. Ganesh K. Mani

 Address to the teachers and senior students of the DTEA Senior Secondary School, Lodi Estate, by eminent cardiac surgeon, Padmashri Dr. Ganesh K. Mani, Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, followed by a talk on Congenital Heart Disease on Thursday, September 26, at 1 pm.

This will mark the conclusion of the camp for cardiac health check-up of primary class children at the school held during September 24-26, 2019. Dr. Mani is an alumnus of the 1964 batch of the DTEA School, Lodi Estate. He is a former Chairman and currently a member of the Board of Trustees.

 Cardiac Health Check-Up for Primary Children at DTEA School, Lodi Estate, September 2019

 The DTEA Alumni Trust, in association with Rotary Club of Delhi, has organized a camp for the cardiac health check-up of primary class children at DTEA Senior Secondary School, Lodi Estate, during September 24-26, 2019. A total of about 400 children of the school, whose parents have given consent for the check-up, will undergo check-up as part of this campaign. Visit the Gallery Page for pictures from the camp on the opening day.

This campaign was enabled through the initiative of the well-known cardiac surgeon, Padmashri Dr. Ganesh K. Mani. Dr. Mani is an alumnus of the 1964 batch of the school, a former Chairman and at present a member of the Board of Trustees. He is currently with the cardiology department at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Press Enclave Road, Saket, New Delhi.

 
  As part of the concluding function of this campaign, Dr. Mani will also address the teachers and senior students of the school followed by a talk on Congenital Heart Disease on Thursday, September 26, at 1 pm.

Inauguration of the academic project initiated by the DTEA Alumni Trust titled UDAAN at the DTEA Senior Secondary School, Moti Bagh, on Saturday July 20. 2019. A brief about Project UDAAN is given below:

o       Activity classes (broadly on lines of Project Chitti at LBN School) for classes 1-5, weaving  some of Karadipath techniques for English 

o       Jodo Gyan Math for classes 1, 2 & 3 

o       Math Made Easy (programme to improve Number Skills – developed by Ms. Malini Sivaram) for classes 4 & 5   

Ms. Malini Sivaram will be the Programme-in-charge on behalf of the Trust, who will mentor and monitor the Project Udaan. She will be assisted in this supervision by Ms. Shwetha, a full-time volunteer appointed by the Trust, who was selected through the same process as had been done for Projects Varsha at LE, Meera at MM and Chitti at LBN. The Trust believes that the Project will help and strengthen the learning skills of the primary class children.
